about

‘Don’t Go’ is the new single from Melbourne synth-goth duo SaD . Entwining the uniquely varied vocal colour of NO ZU’s Daphne Camf and the statuesque guitar riffs of Simona Castricum with electro breakbeat, ‘Don’t Go’ is the long-awaited follow up to 2018’s ‘The Poets of Antiquity’, and is the second track to preview from SaD’s debut album ‘Saturn Rules the Material World’ — due for release in early
2020.

You know I always cry,
at the smallest slight,
but I never said go.
Don’t go.

No enmity in hindsight,
like ships in the night,
just relief at the morning light.
Don’t go.
I know you’ll go.

Don’t go.

Illusions shed like skin,
forgetting where yours end
and mine begin.
And still you go,
I don’t want you to go.

I forgot I was frail,
I forgot I was finite,
I forgot I was fallible,
with a tendency to fail.
Don’t go.

Don’t go.

Inspired by my aversions,
the chorus has spoken,
they told me to go.
Don’t go.

I know you’ll go.
Don’t go.
I said don’t go.
Don’t go.

Don’t go.
